FAQ

❓ Flower Care FAQ
1. How often should I change the water for fresh cut flowers?
You should change the vase water every 2 days. Fresh water prevents bacteria and keeps flowers looking vibrant longer.
2. How do I keep roses fresh for a longer time?
Trim the stems at a 45° angle every 2 days, keep the vase at least half full of clean water, and store roses in a cool area away from direct sunlight. If roses start drooping, submerge the whole stem in cool water for 30 minutes to revive them.
3. Which flowers are safe for cats and dogs?
Pet-friendly flowers include roses, sunflowers, orchids, gerbera daisies, and snapdragons.
4. Which flowers are toxic to pets?
Avoid lilies, tulips, daffodils, chrysanthemums, and azaleas, as they can be toxic to cats and dogs if ingested.
5. Should I cut flower stems before putting them in water?
Yes ✅ Always cut 1–2 cm off the stems at a 45° angle before placing them in water. This helps flowers absorb water better.
6. Do I need to use flower food?
Yes — flower food extends freshness. If you don’t have any, make a DIY version: 1 teaspoon sugar + a few drops of lemon juice in the vase water.
7. What’s the best place to keep fresh flowers?
Keep your flowers in a cool spot, away from direct sunlight, heaters, or fans. Avoid placing them near fruit bowls — fruit releases ethylene gas, which makes flowers wilt faster.
