Hand-Tied Bouquet Care
A hand-tied bouquet is designed to go straight into a vase — the tie keeps its shape.
How to care for your bouquet
- Straight into water: Place the bouquet in water as soon as it arrives. If it came with a water bubble around the stems, open it over the sink first.
- Keep the tie: Leave the tie in place; it holds the design. Trim all stems together by about an inch, at an angle.
- Choose the vase: A clean vase that supports the bouquet to roughly a third of its height is ideal. Fill it two-thirds with cool water.
- Refresh: Top up the water daily, and change it every two or three days with a fresh trim of the stems.
Important notes:
- Remove the wrapping paper before placing the bouquet in water.
- Lilies are very dangerous for cats — even a little pollen or vase water. If a cat touches them, call your veterinarian straight away.
- Flowers and plants are for decoration only — keep them, and their water, out of reach of children and pets.
