Vase Arrangement Care
Composed by hand in our studio, your arrangement will stay beautiful for about a week — often longer with a little daily care.
How to care for your arrangement
- Daily water: Flowers drink most in the first two days. Check the vase every morning and top it up with cool, fresh water.
- Fresh start: Every two or three days, lift the arrangement out in one piece, rinse the vase, trim each stem by about half an inch at an angle with sharp scissors, and return it to fresh water.
- Clean stems: Remove any leaves sitting below the water line — they cloud the water and shorten the life of the flowers.
- The right spot: Keep the arrangement cool and out of direct sun, away from air-conditioning vents, fans, electronics and the kitchen.
- Fading blooms: Gently remove any flower that fades so the rest stay fresh. A drooping rose often revives after a fresh cut and a few hours in deep, cool water.
Important notes:
- Keep ripening fruit away from flowers — it releases a gas that makes them fade faster.
- Never leave flowers in a parked car — even a few minutes of Miami heat can wilt them.
- Lilies are very dangerous for cats — even a little pollen or vase water. If a cat touches them, call your veterinarian straight away.
- Flowers and plants are for decoration only — keep them, and their water, out of reach of children and pets.
